  • 10 Friendly service

I highly recommend Laptop Station for their repairs. I booked my Toshiba in for a replacement screen in the morning and had it back the same day for just £90.00. I then took my nan who also got great advice in picking the right machine for her and unlike what you'd expect they didnt get her to buy the most expensive one. They even recommended to go to Toshiba for the extended warranty because that would be cheaper! I have never had a problem and they have always sorted any nigling problems out up front for no charge. Highly recommended.

  • 10 Excellent Service

Unlike to other 2 reviews i have nothing but praise for Laptop Station. i have been there several times for various issues and always had brilliant service. the shop is always busy with people getting excellent advice and very quick turn around times. i have also purchased 6 laptops from there both new and secon hand and never had a problem. i got a virus one time and they sorted it out for free! its nice to go to a shop that cares about its customers rather than some corporate faceless giant like PCWorld that are only interested it getting a sale. Laptop Station for me any day!

  • 2 DO NOT GO TO THE LAP TOP STATION!

DO not use the LAP TOP STATION, I agree a 100% with the above comment. They are cheaters. The RAM in my lap top needed replaced, i don't know much about computers so a friend spoke to the guy and specifically told him don't delete any of the data, which they agreed to, they assured me the data would be safe. After paying nearly £100 i got home to find everything was gone nothing left. I rang to complain and to ask why no one had informed me (as if I had been told I would NOT have got it fixed by them. I spoke to a data recovery expert and he himself told me there was no need to wipe the hard disk, they just could not be bothered saving it for me.) Every time I called they kept telling me to call back. Finally I spoke to the owner, all he could give me was a pathetic sorry and said they have a strict policy in contacting customers in this case. They can't even follow their own policy. When I asked for a refund on the work they had carried out (not the part) his reply: ' We don't give refunds!) I am fuming, DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE! They don't know what they are doing.

  • 2 cheating

I really feel cheated: I bought a second hand laptop, praised in the shop as superb laptop, great value etc. When at home, I discovered, that it stopped working after 2 minutes, it hardly had loaded the system. The shop refuses taking it back, says it is "only" the battery and I could easily make it run by bying a new battery for another 35 £. Nobody had told me this before, neither in the advert nor verbal, they just let me go with a laptop that does not run without investing another almost 20 % more! And the refuse taking it back! Not the good way to treat customers, I think. So it's always good paying attention when you intend buying something there.
