  • 5 Biased Reviews?

After coming to their shop for advice and eventually a repair i decided to look on a few reviews to see customer satisfaction. Most seem to be biased, angry people that have clearly come to review only based on the fact that they weren't happy for some reason or another. The service i received was very friendly and they are completely reliable as they were recommended by a number of my friends! I highly recommend these guys!

First of all this wasn't your laptop. You spilt beer on a friends laptop and got annoyed you had to foot the bill. I would also like to show you a video recorded by our CCTV showing who really was the abusive one. After insulting your own 'friend' you verbally assaulted myself. I have proof of this. I would like to know also how you know my suppliers are foreign? All my supplier bar one are UK / European based. With response to the part that wasn't needed. If you knew anything about computers you would know legally you must have a product key licence sticker attached to the computer in order to have a Windows Operating System installed. This machine did not have such licence. Furthermore the machine would not boot and therefore we could not read the licence currently installed. Finally, stating i changed my story is laughable considering you did not give me a chance to speak. If you have anymore queries please contact me at laptop-station@live.com.

  • 1 A DISHONEST BUSINESS!!

I STRONGLY advise everybody in Brighton and Hove and visitors to the city- NOT to visit or do business with this company. I was given a quote for repairs on a laptop that were far too high. Later discovering that one product on that quote was not required AT ALL, as it's automatically installed when the laptop was manufactured for the retail market. When I set foot into the store (my one and only visit). I found the "manager" Liam C totally uncooperative and patronizing, which further aggravated me. Initailly, he lied about the where abouts of the lap top telling me it was off site, then quickly changing the story and telling me that it was on site and being repaired. Further research has shown me that this company uses second hand parts (but sell them at FULL price) from dubious, often foreign suppliers and BUMP up the cost on each and every service/product to cover their own costs and increase profit. Of course, this is the main aim for any business, however, in this situation, it is the customer that is left with a poor service/diagnostic, an excessive bill and in some cases; a void product that cannot be used in ANY way-APPALLING!! Do your research on this company and read the reviews,internet/local feed back before EVEN considering the Laptop Shop AND Laptop Station, let alone actually using their services.BEWARE!!

  • 1 SCAMMING COWBOYS

Purchased a laptop described as ex display was sold with a CHINESE replacement charger and no software. Didnt work from the minute I got it home froze the whenever I tried to do anything with it and couldnt even run task manager it had to be hard reset. The shop repaired it by restoring and returned to me. It Still continued to encounter problems whereby it would boot to checkdisk and crash frequently. Again I returned it to the shop and was told that despite the fact these problems were present since day 1 they would not cover under my warranty as its a software fault, and I would need to PAY for repair, now stuck with a laptop that is not fit for purpose thats cost £400, as Im not paying them to fix something they sold me faulty in the 1st place. Good way to make extra money out of people. BEWARE!!!

  • 5 Response to Pior Reviews

In response to Craig H. Your machine was left with Laptop Station for over 90 days, not 30 as you imply. As the machine was left for such a long time with no communication is was scrapped. We would like to point out that the machine was repaired within 14 days of being given to Laptop Station. In reference to our pricing we are confident that we are among the cheapest and best value for money, please feel free to call other computer stores to confirm this. To Richard.L. in reference to the "wrong diagnoses of a faulty battery" it was confirmed that both the battery and adapter were faulty and as such both needed to be replaced. To M.M. we apologise if your machine developed a fault. Like all computer companies we warrant second hand goods for 3 months. When you returned the machine outside of its warranty period we offered to repair the machine at a reduced rate which was refused by yourself. If any customers would like to discuss these matters further please contact the store directly. We repair thousands of laptops and have a high record of happy returning customers. It is unfortunate that review sites are primarily used by those disgruntled and often biased customers. We do not feel that these reviews reflect the service that Laptop Station offers due to incorrect, incomplete or misleading information.

  • 1 Useless

Took in a laptop and told them that it wasn't charging properly. They misdiagnosed and told me that i needed a new battery. (I actually needed a new charger). After paying them about £70 for a new battery. I took it back again and they then said it was the charger. Totally unaccepatable!! AVOID!

  • 1 Scrapped by laptop

Scrapped by laptop because I left it with them for more than thirrty days even though we verbally agreed this would be OK. Also expensive, slow. Had used them in the past - bought three new laptops from them. Still no customer service. Not even an apology for accidentaly scrapping my laptop. Had personal files on there that I can't ever replace. With so many alternatives why take the risk.

  • 1 Stay clear!!!!!

I agree with the two negative comments, i feel cheated and helpless. I bought a second hand laptop about 3/4 months ago and already i am having to buy another lap top. When i first called about the problem i was told the laptop was working fine when i bought it and it must have been something that i had done. I have never dropped or been careless with the laptop i have never knocked it. I am careful with anything i own and was specially careful with something i had just spent so much money on. After failing to get anywhere by phone, myself and my husband went to the shop to speak to the owner, who kept dismissing everything i said, speaking over me and failing to listen to anything i had to say. He refused to give me a refund advising it must have been something i had done. I walked out and gave up i couldn't stand there in front of other customers fighting with someone who obviously does not care about customer satisfaction or a fair deal. I am now seeking advice from the consumer council and i hope i can get back the money that i am owed. I advise anyone to stay clear from this place. They will only cause you stress, time, annoyance and not to mention leave you out of pocket.

  • 5 Friendly service

I highly recommend Laptop Station for their repairs. I booked my Toshiba in for a replacement screen in the morning and had it back the same day for just £90.00. I then took my nan who also got great advice in picking the right machine for her and unlike what you'd expect they didnt get her to buy the most expensive one. They even recommended to go to Toshiba for the extended warranty because that would be cheaper! I have never had a problem and they have always sorted any nigling problems out up front for no charge. Highly recommended.
