...is that there are a lot of companies that call people telling them they ARE Sky, and they will suffer for it, however SCC are the most legitimate warrenty company I have ever heard of. People who complain about them are just outraged idiots, and they do not tell people they are Sky, and they DO full refunds if you are not happy with thier service, although why you would not be I am unsure. They send out engineers when you need them free of charge, and do not mess you about! Sky customers should be aware that the 1 years free warrenty ONLY covers the box and ONLY against manufacturers faults. So it's Sky that try and decieve people if anyone. Next time someone calls your house phone you might want to actually listen to who they are and what they do before giving your bank details, compaining, and then giving a good company a bad name.
In response to Graig S, I can assure you they give you the impression they are Sky and offer to renew you Sky Plan. It is a complete scam
This company has called me several times. The most recent was 3 weeks ago I told them I don't want them to call me and to remove me from there database. Today they call me I explain what had happened and Nick Sales Manager of 3 weeks says he was unaware of this. I have asked for a letter to be sent to me confirming I have been removed from the database. Also informed TPS again.
I am the head of administration of this company. This review is a responce to Ian Ritsma of Plymouth who has left a comment stating that we have taken £150 from him with no refund, This is not the case as his warranty was cancelled as his payments could not be collected. All calls are monitored to look out for the sales team claiming to be sky so any mistake would be the customers fault. In addition i would like to state that we work closely with trading standards and are one of the leading satellite warranty companies in the country.
I was called by satellite customer care about my warranty on my sky. I had my warranty with them for about six months and then occured a problem with my sky + box, i called them and got an instant response and had an engineer to me within two days and my fault was corrected. i have had nothing but friendly and great service from them. i would also like to add that my neighbour had a call from satellite customer care and took out a policy with them not realising that it was a different company from whom she had a warranty with and she contacted them and got reimbursed her money with no problem. it was her error of judgement that she did not check her policy out first which could be the reason for these complaints. Since then she is now with satellite customer care and is veryy happy with them. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
See Jean D's comments. Rang me claiming to be Sky. Told me the warranty was due for renewal. Had all my personal details. We had no policy with them. Took £80 out bank acc when they said it was £65 and wrote saying they will take a further £80 out next month. They may be linked to the Something Group who have just folded and Dave Reynold's local businesses which were taken tom court for the same practices.
They called me saying they were SKY! This is covered under the MISREPRESENTATION ACT 1967, now they wont ansewr the phone, so I will be writing them a legal letter, giving them 10 working days to reimburse me, After that, if they still dont comply, Trading Standards will take up my case for me. STAY WELL CLEAR OF THEM!!!
Dont get caught! This company is asc#m ! I have tried to stop the payments but with no success. £150 down the chute!
In Addition - ANY COMPANY CALLING YOU WHEN YOU RENT A SKY SERVICE IS LYING TO YOU! You only need an extended warranty IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT YOUR EQUIPMENT! Rental Is OWNED BY SKY UNTIL YOU PURCHASE IT OFF THEM!
