Check the Contract and Read the Small Print

Salesman came round and sold us a system based on our current BT bill which was pretty small as we only had one phoneline. Said they could fit a lovely new system for the same price with 2 lines, free calls, free broadband etc... They installed but the phones are so quiet we can't hear what's said on them if someone else in the open office is talking. They have not been able to fix this nor offered to replace the phones and we will end up paying nearly �£5000 for the privilege (that's just the equipment lease!) Now after 1 year they have put their true prices into effect so we are now paying twice what we were paying for BT rental, we have a phone system we don't really need (and which doesn't really work well for us) which we will be paying monthly for the next 5 years on top of their charges! My advice - read the small print and don't listen to their hard sell salesman - nothing is ever as good as it seems!
