  • 4 Seven frieds for seven appetizers

Being located on the nightmare Seven Dials roundabout didn't ingratiate me to this restaurant and its wedge-shape layout was too tightly packed for my liking with some inappropriately placed tables. I would have to be won over by the food and the complementary appetizer soup and bread was a good start. The European menu was rather limited but does have vegetarian options. The quality of the ingredients was excellent and the food was cooked perfectly. My only complaint would be the terrine of salmon and leeks did have overly salty parts and slightly larger portions would be welcomed.Wine selection was good but other drinks were limited.Service was very good considering how busy they were.Overall - excellent food at a price but the place/location is the let down for me.There is a vault available to book for large groups/ special occasions. Not a great area for parking - best to get a taxi.

  • 4 Great food for a fair price

I visited Seven Dials restaurant, in Brighton, at the Seven Dials location would you believe! The restaurant is in a very prominent position, on the corner of one of the seven junctions. Once inside the hustle and bustle of outside never intrudes. The restaurant has a modern feel and up-market decor. I tried the food one lunchtime to take advantage of their 2 courses including a glass of wine for £10. Not only did I receive all the above but also a delectable mushroom soup in a tiny ramekin , which was a free added bonus.During my visit I got to try food I couldn't normally afford. Having tried this fantastic food I would definitely go back on a special occasion, the food is a little pricey without the offer but well worth it.

  • 5 Yummy!

This place is usually outside of my price range radar. It was my parents anniverary so me and my brother decided to take them somewhere special. I'm glad we took them to the Seven Dials as they really enjoyed themselves, so did my brother and I! The place itself is cool and sophisitcated. We went on a saturday lunchtime and although it wasn't packed, it was still very busy. I would imagine its a necessity to book during the evenings. The food was delicious though, and plenty of choices for all types of palates. Even my 'meat and two veg' father found something he really liked! Prices are understandably expensive but still great!
