• Good food, friendly staff

  I came across this pub about 2 weeks ago and been there a few evenings during that time. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the bar is clean. The food is good and and served by friendly staff. The locals are also friendly and a stranger will feel relaxed and comfortable when visiting. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did.

  I had a tasty homecooked meal from the specials board. Excellent food and a very reasonable price. The spotted dick and custard for desert was something you don’t see that often. Nice relaxing restaurant and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely eat here again when I am in the area.

• oo ar oo ar eh?

  Food is poor, out-of-the-freezer rubbish. Service very bad - they don't seem to have a clue! They managed to forget my meal and there were only 4 other customers in the whole place. They didn't have a non-alcoholic lager and they had to go over the road to buy a loaf of bread!!!!The actual restaurant is spacious and decor ok - could be good if run by competent people.
